The Impact of Digital Trade on the Global Value Chain Position of the Wood Industry
摘要
Abstract
With the rapid expansion of the global digital economy,digital trade has become an important force driving industrial upgrading and reshaping global value chains.This study examines the relationship between the level of digital trade development and the global value chain(GVC)position of the wood industry across 42 coun-tries,and employs empirical analysis to explore how digital trade affects the wood industry's relative position within the GVC.The results indicate that digital trade exerts a significant positive U-shaped effect on value-chain upgrading in the wood industry,primarily through enhanced efficiency in intermediate inputs and technological in-novation.Moreover,the growth of digital trade has a stronger promoting effect on the GVC position of the wood in-dustry in developing countries,providing them with strategic opportunities for industrial catch-up.In addition,the wood-processing sector is more sensitive to developments in digital trade,reflecting heterogeneous development rhythms within the industry.These findings provide a reference for countries seeking to advance the transformation and upgrading of the wood industry in the digital economy.关键词
