MRI与MSCT在颞下颌关节紊乱病诊断中的应用价值
Application Value of MRI and MSCT in the Diagnosis of Temporomandibular Disorders

Abstract
Objective To investigate the application value of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and multi-slice spiral computed tomography(MSCT)in the diagnosis of temporomandibular disorders(TMD).Methods A total of 103 patients with TMD admitted to Anyang Sixth People's Hospital from January 2022 to April 2025 were retrospectively enrolled.All patients underwent both MRI examination and MSCT examination.The display of joint structural abnormalities,examination duration,and examination cost were compared between the two modalities.Results The detection rates of MRI for reducible disc displacement,non-reducible disc displacement,disc perforation,synovial inflammation,and joint effusion were significantly higher than those of MSCT(P<0.05).No statistically significant difference was found between MRI and MSCT in the detection rates of condylar hyperosteogeny,condylar bone destruction,and joint space changes(P>0.05).MSCT was significantly superior to MRI in clearly displaying the fine trabecular bone structure(P<0.05).The examination duration of MSCT was significantly shorter than that of MRI,and the examination cost was significantly lower than that of MRI(P<0.05).Conclusions Both MRI and MSCT have definite diagnostic value for TMD.MRI shows significant advantages in diagnosing soft tissue abnormalities of TMD,while MSCT is advantageous in terms of examination time and cost,and provides better visualization of fine trabecular bone structures.Clinicians should reasonably select MRI or MSCT according to the patient's specific condition,and the combined application of the two modalities can be adopted when necessary to improve the diagnostic accuracy of TMD.关键词
