基于表观遗传学机制探讨中医药防治高血压病的研究进展
Research progress on epigenetic mechanisms in the prevention and treatment of hypertension using traditional Chinese medicine

Abstract
Hypertension is a chronic cardiovascular syndrome characterized by the persistent elevation of systemic arterial blood pressure.Its pathogenesis involves dysregulation of multiple regulatory systems,including the nervous,humoral,metabolic,and immune systems.Recent studies have confirmed the role of epigenetic modifications in regulating gene expression via complex interactions including DNA methylation,histone modification,and non-coding RNAs.This regulation further mediates the crosstalk between genetic and environmental factors and participates in key pathological processes of hypertension,such as vascular endothelial injury,vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation,inflammatory response,and activation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.There is inherent consistency between the theories of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and the concept of epigenetics.TCM exhibits unique advantages in terms of hypertension treatment,including fewer adverse reactions,multi-targeted effects,and multi-mechanism regulation.Among TCM-based interventions,TCM monomers and their active components,as well as TCM compound prescriptions,can regulate blood pressure and protect target organs through epigenetic regulation of DNA methylation,histone modification,and non-coding RNAs.This further highlights the value of TCM in interventions for hypertension,although further scope for development remains.This review systematically summarizes recent relevant studies,providing a theoretical basis for the in-depth exploration of the pathogenesis of hypertension and its clinical diagnosis and treatment with TCM,thereby promoting basic research and the clinical translational application of TCM in hypertension management based on epigenetic regulation.关键词
