摘要
Abstract
The participation level in the Global Value Chain provides a new engine and support for the high-quality development of the marine economy. This paper constructs a high-quality development index for the marine economy using data from 11 coastal provinces in China(excluding Hong Kong,Macao, and Taiwan)from 2006 to 2020.By employing a two-way fixed effects model,an instrumental variables approach, and a moderating effects model,it thoroughly investigates the impact and mechanisms of Global Value Chain participation on the high-quality development of the marine economy. The empirical analysis reveals that participation in the Global Value Chain can significantly promote the high-quality development of the marine economy, and this conclusion remains robust after relevant tests. The moderating effects test results indicate that the degree of openness and human capital play significant moderating roles.Heterogeneity test results show that the promoting effect of Global Value Chain participation exhibits spatial and temporal differences. Finally, this paper proposes recommendations from the perspectives of strengthening value chain integration, enhancing innovation capabilities in high-end marine sectors, advancing institutional opening-up,and enhancing maritime talent pool development,so as to further promote the upgrading of the marine economy.关键词
