Study on Congenital Constitution Characteristics in Moderate-severe Dry Eye Pa-tients Based on Five Transport Phases and Six Climatic Factors

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze the characteristics of congenital constitution in patients with moderate-severe dry eye.METHODS Medical records of patients diagnosed with moderate-severe dry eye at the Eye Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from September 2021 to September 2024 were included.Their birth dates(year,month,day)were calculated to derive the five evolutive phases and six climatic factors parameters,including Yearly Fortune,Primary Transport,Guest Transport,Primary Qi,Guest Qi,Convergence of Guest and Primary Qi,Governor Qi-Ground Qi.RESULTS(1)General data:A total of 590 cases were collected,including 218 males(36.95％)and 372 females(63.05％),with an average age of(47.74±18.75)years,predominantly aged 50～59 years old.(2)Annual Cycles distribution:Those born in the Shaozhi year accounted for the largest number,with a total of 77 cases(13.05％),while the lowest was in Shaoyu years(36 cases,6.10％).(3)Primary Cycles and Guest Cycles distributions:For Primary Cycles,the highest number of births was in Taijue years(69 cases,11.69％),and the lowest in Shaogong years(43 cases,7.29％).For Guest Cycles,the highest was in Shaozhi years(72 cases,12.2％),and the lowest in Shaoyu years(37 cases,6.27％).(4)Primary Qi and Guest Qi distributions:For Primary Qi,the highest number of births was during Yangming-Zaojin periods(121 cases,20.51％),and the lowest during Taiyin-Shitu periods(73 cases,12.37％).For Guest Qi,the highest was during Yangming-Zaojin periods(113 cases,19.15％),and the lowest during Taiyang-Hanshui periods(70 cases,11.86％).(5)Superimposition of Guest Qi and Primary Qi distribution:The majority were categorized as"compatible,minor accord"(127 cases,21.53％),while the fewest were"compatible,minor adversity"(110 cases,18.64％).(6)Celestial Qi-Spring Qi distribution:The highest number of births occurred under Yangming-Zaojin as Celestial Qi and Shaoyin-Junhuo as Spring Qi(112 cases,18.98％),while the lowest was under Taiyin-Shitu as Celestial Qi and Taiyang-Hanshui as Spring Qi(90 cases,15.25％).CONCLUSIONS The congenital constitution characteristics of patients with moderate-severe dry eye are predominantly characterized by dryness prevailing and injuring Yin,and cold stagnation transforming into Heat.关键词
