Clinical Efficacy of Neck Seven-Line Needling in Treatment of Treating Neck-Type Cervical Spondylosis with Wind-Cold Obstruction Syndrome

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of neck seven-line needling in treatment of neck-type cervical spondylosis with wind-cold obstruction syndrome.Methods:A total of 98 patients with neck-type cervical spondylosis of wind-cold obstruction syndrome were randomly divided into the conventional acupuncture group(47 cases,2 dropouts)and the neck seven-lines needling(48 cases,1 dropout).The conventional acupuncture group received standard acupuncture treatment,whereas the seven-line needling group received acupuncture based on the neck seven-line points selection method.Clinical efficacy and the scores of TCM symptoms,Neck Disability Index(NDI),Cervical Spondylosis Clinical Scale(CASCS),Short-Form McGill Pain Questionnaire(SF-MPQ),including Visual Analog Scale(VAS),Present Pain Intensity(PPI)and Pain Rating Index(PRI),as well as 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey(SF-36)were compared between the two groups.Results:Compared to the conventional acupuncture,the neck seven-line needling resulted in a statistically significant improvement in distribution of clinical efficacy grades(P＜0.05).The total effective rate was 93.75％(45/48)in the neck seven-line needling group and 85.11％(40/47)in the conventional acupuncture group,in which there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P＞0.05).Both groups showed decreases in the scores of TCM symptoms,NDI,VAS,PPI,and PRI after the treatment compared with baseline,with the neck seven-line group showing more significant reductions in these indicators compared to the conventional acupuncture group(P＜0.05).Both groups showed significant increases in the scores of CASCS and SF-36 across all dimensions,with the neck seven-line group experiencing greater improvements compared to the conventional acupuncture group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Neck seven-lines needling is significantly more effective than conventional acupuncture in treatment of neck-type cervical spondylosis with wind-cold obstruction syndrome.It can effectively relieve symptoms,improve cervical functional impairment,and enhance patients' quality of life.关键词
