Numerical Simulation and Experimental Study on the Vibroacoustic Characteristics of Reinforced Sandwich Panels with Foam Filling

Abstract
To investigate the vibroacoustic characteristics of reinforced sandwich panels,an experimental setup was established to evaluate the vibroacoustic performance of foam filling reinforced sandwich panels.The vibroacoustic behavior and sound radiation were analyzed within the frequency range of 0-2 000 Hz.A simulation model of the foam filling reinforced sandwich panel was established by means of acoustic finite element software,and the model's reliability was verified by comparing the simulation results with experimental data.Based on this validated model,a comparative study was conducted to examine the effects of reinforcement parameters and material mechanical properties on the vibroacoustic characteristics of the reinforced sandwich panel,with and without the foam filling.The findings indicate that foam filling can reduce the peak sound radiation level of the reinforced sandwich panel by as much as 24.46 dB.Increasing the spacing between stiffeners makes the peak frequency of radiated sound power shift toward low frequency side,and the maximum shift is 243 Hz.Conversely,increasing the thickness of the stiffeners shifts the peak frequency toward higher frequency side,with the maximum shift being 307 Hz,while makes the peak sound radiation level decrease by up to 2.39 dB.Increasing the structural density leads to a maximum reduction of 3.76 dB of the sound radiation power in off-peak position,a maximum downward shift of 336 Hz of the peak frequency to the low frequency side,and a 2.39 dB reduction of peak sound radiation.Furthermore,increasing Young's modulus shifts the peak frequency of radiation sound power toward higher frequencies side by up to 279 Hz,accompanied by a maximum reduction of 1.09 dB in peak sound radiation.However,variation of Poisson's ratio of the structural materials has a relatively minor impact on the vibroacoustic characteristics of the reinforced sandwich panel.关键词
