Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Xiao'er Zhike Pingchuan Syrup(小儿止咳平喘糖浆)as adjuvant therapy for pediatric bronchopneumonia of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung pattern.Meth-ods Eighty-six children with bronchopneumonia of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung pattern admitted to the Department of Pediatrics,Tongde Hospital of Zhejiang Province from January to June 2024 were selected.They were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group using a random number table,with 43 cases in each group.After accounting for dropouts(1 in the treatment group,2 in the control group),42 cases in the treatment group and 40 cases in the control group completed the study.The control group received conventional Western medical treatment,including antipyretics,anti-infection therapy,and medications for cough relief,asthma alleviation,antispasmodics,and phlegm reduction.The treatment group received Xiao'er Zhike Ping-chuan Syrup in addition to the same conventional treatment as the control group.Clinical efficacy was evaluated in both groups after 7 consecutive days of treatment.Results The total effective rate was 80.00％(32/40)in the control group and 95.24％(40/42)in the treatment group,with a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores between the two groups(P＞0.05),indicating comparability.After treatment,TCM syndrome scores decreased significantly in both groups compared to their pre-treatment levels(P＜0.01),with a more significant reduction in the treatment group(P＜0.05).The disappearance times for fever,cough,wheez-ing,and lung rales were all shorter in the treatment group compared to the control group,with statistically sig-nificant differences(P＜0.01).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in serum levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),interleukin-6(IL-6),and white blood cell(WBC)count between the two groups(P＞0.05),indicating comparability.After treatment,these indicators de-creased significantly in both groups compared to pre-treatment levels(P＜0.05),with a more pronounced reduc-tion in the treatment group(P＜0.05).During the treatment period,the incidence of adverse reactions was 7.50％(3/40)in the control group and 9.52％(4/42)in the treatment group,with no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion As an adjuvant therapy for pediatric bronchopneu-monia of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung pattern,Xiao'er Zhike Pingchuan Syrup can significantly reduce the body's inflammatory response,alleviate clinical symptoms and signs,demonstrating notable efficacy with high safety,and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.关键词
