Abstract

To understand the differences in the biological characteristics of avian Pasteurella multocida in different regions,PCR detection,drug sensitivity test,biochemical identification,and biofilm formation ability test were con-ducted on 3 strains of avian Pasteurella multocida.The results showed that all three strains of Pasteurella multocida were podoconiosis serotype A.All contained exbB,exbD,hgbA,hgbB,tonB,fur,fimA,hsf2,ptfA,pfhA,tadD,oma87、ompA、ompH、plpB、psl、plpE、sodA,sodC,nanB,pmHAS 21 virulence genes,the virulence gene tbpA is contained only in Pm1,all contain the aminoglycoside resistance genes rpsE,rpssL,rrss.Pm1 strain showed resist-ance to cephalexin,tetracycline,lincomycin,clindamycin and vancomycin,Pm2 strain showed resistance to lincomy-cin,clindamycin and vancomycin,and Pm3 strain showed resistance to five antibiotics,including streptomycin,madicillin,lincomycin,clindamycin,and vancomycin.The Pm1 strain was able to form a bioepidermal membrane,while the Pm2,Pm3 strains were barely able to form biofilm.The biological characterisation of three strains of Pas-teurella multocida revealed its virulence genes,drug resistance and biofilm-forming ability,which is of great signifi-cance for the study of pathogenicity and clinical control.
