Anomaly tracking and extraction of the dynamic water level in Korla Xin 43 Spring

Abstract
In response to the significant rise-and-fall changes in the water-level observation data for the Xin 43 spring in Korla in 2013,a series of investigations and studies were conducted.It was found that blockage of the sensor's water inlet hole and partial blockage of the underground discharge pipe result in the discharge water returning to the measurement system,causing inaccurate water-level observation values.To highlight the phased characteristics of anomalies in the Xin 43 spring water level before earthquakes,water level data since 2011 were selected segment by segment,and the wavelet analysis method was used to identify the anomalies of the spring water level.The analysis results show that moderate and strong earthquakes frequently occur about 2-6 months after the end of the anomaly,and the amplitude of the anomaly is related to the magnitude of the earthquake,which is reflected in the change direction and rate,proving that the time and intensity of the regional earthquake activity have good consistency.It provides a basis for assessing the anomalous nature of the earthquake-monitoring data and for capturing short-term water level anomalies.关键词
