HALP评分对放射性肠炎的诊断价值
Diagnostic value of the HALP score in radiation enteritis

Abstract
Objective To investigate the association between the hemoglobin,albumin,lymphocyte,and platelet(HALP)score and clinicopathological characteristics of radiation enteritis(RE),and to evaluate its diagnostic value u-sing both clinical data and an experimental mouse model.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 122 pa-tients with cervical cancer treated at the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University between January 2021 and December 2023.The relationship between HALP score and the occurrence of radiation enteritis was assessed.In addition,12 male SPF-grade C57BL/6J mice(6-8 weeks old)were randomly assigned to a control group and a radiation enteritis(RE)group.The RE model was established by whole-abdomen irradiation at 10 Gy.At the experimental endpoint,blood and colon tissues were collected for histopathological examination(H&E staining),enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),complete blood count,and biochemical analyses to validate the diagnostic value of the HALP score.Results The area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve of the HALP score for predicting radiation enteritis was 0.879.The optimal cutoff value was 19.96,with a sensitivity of 80.65％and specificity of 85.00％.In the animal mod-el,the HALP score was negatively correlated with pro-inflammatory cytokines[interleukin(IL)-6,tumor necrosis fac-tor-α(TNF-α),and transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)]and positively correlated with the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10.Additionally,HALP showed negative correlations with vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and angiotensin(Ang Ⅰ)levels.Conclusion A lower HALP score is closely associated with enhanced inflammatory responses in radiation enteritis.The HALP score demonstrates potential as a non-invasive diagnostic biomarker for radiation enteritis.关键词
