Effect of sowing date and density on population dynamics,yield and quality of'Yunong 907'

Abstract
[Objective]To study the effects of sowing date and density on yield and quality of'Yunong 907',and to provide technical support for production and application of new wheat varieties.[Method]A split-plot experimental was designed,with,sowing date as the main plot(S1:October 22,2022,S2:October 31,S3:November 9),planting densities as the sub-plot(D1:240×104 plants⋅hm-2,D2:300×104 plants⋅hm-2,D3:360×104 plants⋅hm-2).The impact of sowing dates and densities on the development process,population dynamics,yield,and grain quality of wheat were analyzed.[Result]The differences in wheat growth stages among different sowing dates are mainly reflected from emergence to the greening stage.The leaf area index(LAI)and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)decreased with delayed sowing,and the effects of both sowing date and density on LAI gradu-ally diminish as the wheat growth stages progresses.Sowing date significantly affects the number of spikes,thousand-grain weight,and yield.Compared to S1 treatment,the average spike number of S2 and S3 treatments decreased by 5.41%and 9.52%,and the average yield decreased by 2.24%and 8.12%,respectively.The interaction between sowing date and density had a significant effect on the number of spikes.Peak viscosity,trough viscosity,and final viscosity all significantly increased with delayed sowing dates,and the effect of density on pasting properties varies greatly with different sowing dates.Dough stability time significantly increased with delayed sowing dates,increaseing by 20.60%and 44.46%in S2 and S3 compared with S1,respectively,while the softening degree significantly increased with increasing density.[Conclusion]Under the experimental conditions,the highest yield and favorable grain quality for'Yunong 907'were achieved with a sowing date of October 22 and a basic seedlings of 240×10⁴ plants·hm⁻².In case of late sowing,the number of basic seedlings should be increased to 300×10⁴ plants·hm⁻².关键词
