摘要

Abstract

Calcium-based thermochemical heat storage(THS)technology exhibits significant application potential in industrial waste heat recovery,solar thermal energy storage,building heating and off-peak electricity utilization due to its advantages of high energy storage density,low heat loss and low cost.This review summarizes recent research progress in calcium-based thermochemical heat storage materials and reactors.In terms of material design,despite their high heat storage density,calcium-based THS materials face limitations in large-scale deployment primarily due to low cycling stability.Current research focuses on performance optimization through two main pathways:material doping and structural modification.Future development should prioritize designing high-performance modified materials using low-cost strategies and elucidating the underlying mechanisms responsible for enhanced cycling stability and reaction kinetics.In terms of reactor design,current investigations on calcium-based thermochemical reactors primarily concentrate on three types:fixed-bed,fluidized-bed and moving-bed reactors.However,reactor models capable of matching the kinetics of the thermochemical reactions remain largely confined to laboratory scale.Consequently,the optimization of heat transfer structures in large-scale reactors for practical engineering applications represents a critical future research direction for calcium-based thermochemical reactor design.
