Research Progress in Dynamic Feeding of Livestock and Poultry Based on Circadian Rhythm

Abstract
With the increasing global demand for livestock and poultry products,the traditional fixed-for-mula feeding mode has led to feed waste,environmental pollution,and animal welfare issues due to its neglect of animals' dynamic nutritional needs.The circadian clock-based dynamic feeding mode has emerged as a new direction to improve feed efficiency and animal health by matching animals' physiological rhythms with nutrient supply.Integrating precision nutrition and circadian clock regulation,dynamic feeding ad-justs feed components(such as proteins and minerals)and feeding times in different periods to synchronize metabolic rhythms.As an internal timing system in organisms,the circadian clock coordinates central(su-prachiasmatic nucleus)and peripheral clocks to regulate the behavioral,physiological,reproductive,and immune rhythms of livestock and poultry.Circadian clock characteristics vary across species:for example,pigs exhibit a circadian cycle of approximately 5 days,while chickens and sheep follow a 24-hour cycle,with light significantly influencing their reproductive and growth performance.The theory of dynamic feed-ing combines precision nutrition and circadian regulation,using nutritional signals such as amino acids and glucose to reset the phase of peripheral clocks and optimize metabolic efficiency.In the future,intelligent dynamic feeding systems integrated with the Internet of Things(IoT)and artificial intelligence(AI)will achieve precise regulation.By decoding the circadian clock-nutrition interaction network through multi-omics approaches,this technology will promote the efficient and green development of animal husbandry.关键词
