Digital-Real Economy Integration Empowers Common Prosperity:Impact Effect and Mechanism

Abstract
As the core engine of promoting high-quality economic development in the new era,digital-real integration is of great significance to achieving common prosperity.Based on the balance panel data of 287 prefecture-level cities in our country from 2011 to 2023,a two-way fixed effect model,an intermediary effect model and a panel threshold model are constructed to empirically test the impact effect of digital-real integration on common prosperity and its internal mechanism.The results show that:(1)digital-real integration promotes common prosperity by improving the overall prosperity level,"making the cake bigger"and promoting shared development,and"sharing the cake well";But at this stage,the effect of"making the cake bigger"is more significant.(2)The effect of digital-real integration to empower common prosperity is significantly heterogeneous,and the empowerment effect is more prominent in e-commerce demonstration cities,high-level economic development areas,peripheral cities and non-resource-based cities.(3)Tax revenue,industrial structure upgrading and innovation activity are important transmission mechanisms for digital-real integrationl to promote common prosperity.(4)The impact of digital-real integration on common prosperity has a threshold effect,and its role in promoting common prosperity gradually weakens with the improvement of digital-real integration.Based on this,it is proposed to promote the high-quality development of digital-real integration,improve the institutional design and achievement sharing mechanism,implement differentiated regional guidance strategies,and strengthen the synergy of key mechanisms such as tax revenue,industrial structure upgrading and innovation activity,and promote common prosperity with a systematic policy framework.关键词
