老年人口腔健康与认知功能关联性横断面研究:基于87例社区与养老院老人的多维度分析
Cross-sectional study on the association between oral health and cognitive function in older adults:A multi-di-mensional analysis based on 87 cases from community and nursing home settings

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the association between oral health indicators and cognitive function in older a-dults from community and nursing home settings.Methods:A cross-sectional design was used to enroll 87 adults aged 65 and above.Data on demographic characteristics,oral health indicators(number of functional teeth,denture use),and cognitive function(assessed by the MMSE)were collected.Data analysis involved correlation analysis and multivariate logistic regres-sion.Results:The mean age of the participants was 80.7±10.2 years.The mean number of remaining functional teeth was 12.1±8.8.The proportions of participants with normal cognition,mild cognitive impairment(MCI),and dementia were 47.13%,25.29%,and 27.59%,respectively.The number of remaining functional teeth was positively correlated with MMSE score(r=0.45,P<0.01).Multivariate analysis identified advanced age(≥85 years),low education level,and the absence of functional teeth as independent risk factors for cognitive impairment.Conclusion:Oral health is closely associated with cogni-tive function in older adults.It is recommended to integrate oral health assessment into cognitive screening for this population and implement early interventions for high-risk groups.关键词
