Study on self-healing practices of youth in digital intimate relationships based on observations of OC culture circle
摘要
Abstract
Contemporary youth who are trapped in the predicament of"loneliness in togetherness"often seek emotional com-pensation amid the transition between the virtual and the real world. As an important component of the online ACG subcul-ture community, the OC culture circle provides a typical field for observing young people's self-healing practices.Taking the OC culture circle as the research setting, this study collects data through participant observation and in-depth interviews. The findings reveal that in OC creation, young individuals realize self-healing by projecting their ideal selves and constructing digital intimate relationships.Specifically, they alleviate loneliness through parasocial relationships, satisfy emotional nurtur-ing needs by establishing simulated parent-child bonds, gain psychological solace anchored in childhood memories, and ob-tain interpersonal support via in-group interactions.Although OC creation helps young people improve their internal subjec-tivity and substitute for certain real-life intimate relationships, the emotional gratification it offers is virtual in nature and cannot effectively assist them in acquiring tangible emotional support in reality.关键词
