Application Progress in Artificial Intelligence for Weather Modification in China
摘要
Abstract
Driven by the urgent need for intelligent technologies in weather modification operations,this paper systematically reviews the current state of AI applications in this field.We first revisit three principal application directions:bias correction of cloud-precipitation forecast products,quantitative evaluation of seeding effectiveness,and automated recognition of cloud-particle and ice-crystal images.The origin,development,and operational status of AI techniques in these three areas are analyzed.Building on this foundation and aligning with emerging operational needs,we extend the discussion to two additional scenarios:intelligent three-dimensional monitoring of cloud-precipitation fields and AI-enabled safety management for weather modification operations.By analyzing current achievements and projecting future directions,this review aims to substantially deepen and broaden the application of AI in weather modification,thereby providing a more efficient and effective technical paradigm to support scientific,precise,and safe operations.关键词
