Abstract

Based on the data quality control procedures of Baseline Surface Radiation Network(BSRN)and national standards such as Assessment Method of Solar Energy Resource and Specification for Data Inspection and Correction of Wind Power Plant Meteorological Observation,an integrity and validity inspection was conducted for seven meteorological observation variables across four categories(solar radiation,wind,temperature,and relative humidity)at eight photovoltaic power stations in Shaanxi Province.The validity rate of the data was categorized into five grades to assess data quality.The results indicated that:(1)the completeness rates of the seven basic meteorological elements were ranked from highest to lowest as follows:global radiation,diffuse radiation,direct radiation,relative humidity,air temperature,and wind(including both direction and speed).(2)The effective data completeness ranks as air temperature,relative humidity,wind,global radiation,direct radiation,and diffuse radiation,with only temperature data meeting the national standard.(3)The data quality of the three radiation items was relatively poor.The total proportion of stations with radiation data quality meeting the national standard(combined grades 1-2)was only 0%-12.5%,while the proportion of poor and very poor grades(combined grades 4-5)accounted for 50%-75%.(4)The overall quality of wind,temperature,and relative humidity data was poor,good,and average,respectively.The compliance rates were 25%,62.5%,and 50%,and the combined proportion of poor and very poor grades accounted for 50%,12.5%,and 37.5%,respectively.(5)The coefficient of variation for radiation revealed that the radiation data quality at four stations,such as Lianhuachi Station,was worse in winter than in summer,while only the radiation data quality of Mingshuo Station was relatively stable throughout the months.
