Interpretation of the American Diabetes Association's Standards of Care in Diabetes(2025)with respect to retinopathy
摘要
Abstract
Diabetic retinopathy(DR)remains one of the most critical microvascular complications of diabetes and the leading cause of vision loss among working-age adults globally.Its pathogenesis and progression are closely associated with chronic hyperglycemia,hypertension,and dyslipidemia.The disease burden continues to escalate with the rising prevalence of diabetes.The American Diabetes Association's Standards of Care in Diabetes(2025)delineates targets for controlling DR risk factors,risk stratification-based screening strategies,anti-vascular endothelial growth factor therapy,and other core management recommendations,and meanwhile emphasizes the importance of integrated metabolic management and early intervention.Through a comprehensive interpretation of the American Diabetes Association's Standards of Care in Diabetes(2025),this article aims to assist clinicians in deeply understanding the latest evidence-based approaches for DR prevention and treatment,promote the implementation of stratified screening and individualized treatment strategies,and ultimately de-liver higher-quality healthcare services to patients.关键词
