Advances in Diagnostic Techniques for Peste des Petits Ruminants
摘要
Abstract
Peste des petits ruminants(PPR)was recognized as an acute,severe and highly contagious infectious disease,which had posed a serious threat to the safety of ruminant farming and huge economic losses to global livestock industry.As accurate and rapid diagnostic methods were considered essential key tools for eradication of the disease,various diagnostic methods had been developed both domestically and internationally,including etiological,molecular biological and serological methods,and would be expected to be developed toward greater rapidity,sensitivity,specificity and high-throughput capability.In this review,current diagnostic methods were systematically summarized,the advantages,limitations,different applicable scenarios and technical requirements of each method were analyzed,with a view to providing a reference for local animal health workers and relevant practitioners to select appropriate methods where appropriate,thereby improving the capabilities of local disease monitoring and early warning,and facilitating precise prevention,control and eradication of PPR.关键词
