Theoretical and Practical Applications of Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Maintenance Culture from the Perspective of Seasonal Festivals and Folk Customs

Abstract
[Objective]To explore the theoretical implications of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)health maintenance culture embedded in Chinese folk seasonal festivals,analyze its practical applications.[Methods]Through literature review and field research,selected distinctive folk activities from five major festivals—Spring Festival,Dragon Boat Festival,Mid-Autumn Festival,Double Ninth Festival and Laba Festival,sunmarized how traditional seasonal festivals and folk customs embody the health maintenance philosophy of TCM,analyzed both the theoretical roots of this wisdom and practical approach,dissecting the theoretical foundations and practical pathways of health maintenance wisdom.[Results]TCM health maintenance culture in seasonal festivals embedded in Chinese folk represents not only a way of life but also embodies the health maintenance wisdom of TCM:aligning with seasonal rhythms,regulating emotions,cultivating body and spirit,and preventing illness before it occurs;Spring Festival medicinal wine health maintenance validates the concept of"medicinal and nutritious origins";Dragon Boat Festival epidemic prevention highlights TCM's emphasis on preventing illness before it manifests,the Mid-Autumn Festival's emotional regulation,the Double Ninth Festival's exercise-based health maintenance,and the Laba Festival's dietary adjustments collectively interpret the core health maintenance perspective of"correspondence between human body and natural environment".Together,they form a comprehensive health maintenance system centered on seasonal adaptation and the cultivation of both body and spirit.[Conclusion]TCM health maintenance culture resonates in harmony with Chinese civilization,embodying profound TCM philosophical connotation.Uncovering TCM elements within folk customs enriches the theoretical dimensions of TCM health maintenance culture,providing robust support for the creative transformation and innovative development of China's outstanding traditional culture.关键词
