The current situation and prognosis of emergency non-cross type O blood transfusion in the Advanced Trauma Center of Guizhou Province

Abstract
Objective To analyse the impact of emergency transfusion of non-cross type O blood on the prognosis of trauma patients.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data of trauma patients who received emergency transfusion of type O blood at the Advanced Trauma Center of Guizhou Province from April 2023 to April 2025.Patients were grouped according to blood type,and differences in baseline clinical characteristics and prognosis between different blood types were compared.Results A total of 93 severe trauma patients receiving emergency blood transfusion were included,with type O blood being the most common(44 cases,47.31%).Patients with type O blood were significantly younger than those with non-type O blood(P=0.020),and the prothrombin time was significantly shorter than that with non-type O blood(P=0.022).Regression analysis showed that type O blood had no significant effect on mortality,total hospital stay,intensive care unit stay,ventilator-free days,or 24-hour red blood cell transfusion volume(P>0.05).Conclusion Type O blood is the most common blood type among patients receiving emergency transfusion,but blood type is not associated with clinical prognosis.关键词
