Construction of an Evaluation System for Flower Border Landscape Based on the"Carbon Peak,Neutrality"Goals

Abstract
The flower border is a widely applied model in landscape plant design.With the inclusion of"carbon peak"and"carbon neutrali-ty"in the government work report and their integration into the overall plan for ecological civilization,achieving the"carbon peak,neutrality"goals requires efforts in both emission reduction and carbon sequestration.To better implement the"carbon peak,neutrality"concept and le-verage the role of flower borders in advancing ecological civilization under these goals,this study employs the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)to construct an evaluation system for flower border landscapes based on the"carbon peak,neutrality"objectives.From four dimen-sions(ecology,landscape aesthetics,recreation,and low-carbon sustainability),16 evaluation factors(ecological adaptability,species rich-ness,color diversity of flower borders,seasonal variation,carbon sequestration capacity,post-maintenance requirements,artistic conception and cultural significance,as well as interpretive and educational functions)were selected.The results indicated that both aesthetic and ecolog-ical principles are the primary considerations in constructing flower borders based on the"carbon peak,neutrality"goals,followed closely by low-carbon and recreational aspects.Among the specific indicator weights,the top ten indicators were environmental adaptability,floral color diversity,species richness,seasonal variation,three-dimensional layering,planar composition,carbon sequestration capacity,post-mainte-nance requirements,the integration of trees,shrubs,and grasses,artistic conception,and cultural significance.Based on the"carbon peak,neutrality"goals,flower borders must not only possess excellent ecological and aesthetic qualities like traditional borders but also evolve with the times by increasing the proportion of high carbon sink and low-maintenance plants.Additionally,there should be a focus on the application of native plants and eco-friendly materials in flower borders,along with an emphasis on their cultural connotations and educational signifi-cance,transforming flower borders into venues for ideological and political education.关键词
