Evaluation of Ornamental Characters and Adaptability of 58 Cultivars of Hippeastrum striatum Under Field Culture Conditions

Abstract
Through field culture experiments,various ornamental indicators of different Hippeastrum striatum cultivars were measured,and ob-servations and records of phenological periods and adaptability were conducted.The analytic hierarchy process implemented using YAAHP soft-ware was employed for a comprehensive assessment of both ornamental characters and adaptability.The results indicated that all 58 Hippeastrum striatum cultivars exhibited high ornamental characters,but their adaptability varied significantly.Six cultivars,like"Zhayao","Baobeizhix-ing",and"Fenwei"were identified as excellent,and eight cultivars,like"Houjue","Fulaminggewuhou",and"Ningmengxuegao",were identi-fied as good,suitable for application in green spaces of the Wuhan area,accounting for 10.3%and 13.8%of the total,respectively.The evalu-ation of ornamental characters and adaptability of Hippeastrum striatum planted in open fields under natural conditions in Wuhan provides im-portant reference significance for expanding the application areas of different Hippeastrum striatum cultivars in various cities and for bulb pro-duction and propagation.关键词
