Clinical Observation on the Efficacy of Qibao Meiran Dan Combined with High-energy Narrow-Spectrum 640nm Red Light Therapy for Alopecia Areata

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the efficacy mechanism of Qibao Meiran Dan combined with high-energy nar-row-band 640nm red light therapy for alopecia areata caused by liver and kidney deficiency.Methods:Eighty patients with alopecia areata caused by liver and kidney deficiency were randomly divided into a control group(n=40)and an observation group(n=40).The control group received 2%minoxidil lotion combined with high-energy narrow-band 640nm red light therapy;the observation group received Qibao Meiran Dan combined with high-energy narrow-band 640nm red light therapy.The treatment course for both groups was 3 months.The severity of hair loss(SALT)score,depression score(SDS)score,and peripheral blood 25-hydroxyvitamin D[25(OH)D]level were compared before and after treatment to evaluate the efficacy and observe adverse reactions.Results:SALT and SDS scores in both groups decreased compared to pre-treatment levels(P<0.01),while peripheral blood 25(OH)D levels increased(P<0.01),with the observation group showing greater improvement than the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the ob-servation group(80.0%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(65.0%)(χ2=4.178,P<0.05).No serious adverse events occurred in either group during the treatment period(P>0.05).Conclusion:Qibao Meiran Dan combined with high-energy narrow-spectrum 640nm red light therapy is safe and reliable for treating alopecia areata,effectively alleviating hair loss symptoms,improving depressive mood,and enhancing immunity,making it worthy of clinical ap-plication.关键词
