Exploring Emotional Factors in Cancer via"Liver Controlling Dispersion":Linking Traditional Chinese Medicine Pathogenesis with Modern Biology

Abstract
In the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),"liver governs the free flow of Qi"is one of the core mechanisms for maintaining the balance of human physiological functions,and its regulation of emotions is par-ticularly crucial.Dysfunction of the liver's function of free flow of Qi and emotional imbalance can lead to abnormal Qi circulation,resulting in the pathological state of"liver Qi stagnation."Over time,this forms a pathological chain of"Qi stagnation to phlegm accumulation to blood stasis to toxin accumulation,"providing conditions for the occurrence and de-velopment of cancer.From the perspective of modern medicine,this TCM pathological process is related to mechanisms such as neuro-endocrine disorders induced by emotional stimulation,chronic inflammation and oxidative stress damage,immune escape,and tumor micro-environment remodeling.This article combines TCM theory with modern biological mechanisms to explore the role of emotions in the occurrence of malignant tumors and the influence of"liver Qi stagna-tion"on tumor biological behavior.Therefore,in the prevention and treatment of malignant tumors,it is important to em-phasize soothing the liver and regulating Qi,and to integrate this throughout the entire treatment process.关键词
