Treatment of Sequelae of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease Guided by the Theories of"Correspondence between Human and Nature"and"Waxing and Waning of Yin and Yang"

Abstract
Jingchu LIU's Gynecology,originating from Jingzhou,Hubei Province,has been passed down through generations and specializes in treating complex gynecological diseases based on the principles of"deficiency,damp-ness,and blood stasis."Sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease(SPID)is characterized by recurrent lower abdominal pain,lumbosacral distension,and abnormal vaginal discharge.In traditional Chinese medicine,it falls under the cate-gories of"abdominal pain in women"and"abdominal masses."Jingchu LIU's Gynecology believes its core pathogen-esis is deficiency of vital energy and obstruction by dampness and blood stasis,with the disease location in the uterus and involving the liver,spleen,and kidneys.The treatment principle for SPID is to strengthen the body's resistance and eliminate pathogenic factors,promote diuresis and remove blood stasis,aiming to harmonize qi and blood and re-store uterine function.Menstrual cycle therapy adheres to the theories of"correspondence between man and nature"and"the waxing and waning of Yin and Yang"from the"Neijing"(Inner Canon of Medicine).Based on the physi-ological rhythms of the four phases of menstruation—post-menstruation,intermenstrual,premenstrual,and menstrual periods—it dynamically adjusts the prescription and treatment,embodying the principle of individualized treatment according to the time of day.It is an important and effective treatment plan for SPID(Spleen Deficiency with Dampness and Blood Stasis),aiming to improve patients'clinical prognosis and reduce the risk of disease recurrence,thereby achieving the overall treatment goal.关键词
