Differentiation and treatment of acne based on the"sweat pore-nutrient-defense system"theory
摘要
Abstract
Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin disease mainly characterized by comedones,papules,pustules,nodules,cysts,and excessive sebum secretion.Based on classical traditional Chinese medicine theory,this article proposes a three-stage evolutionary pattern of acne pathogenesis.In the inflammatory stage,blockage of the sweat pores and stagnation of qi movement constitute the initiating mechanism.In the progressive stage,disharmony between nutrient and defense and the gradual formation of phlegm and blood stasis promote the transformation from functional disorder to organic damage.In the chronic stage,the intermingling of phlegm and blood stasis together with deficiency of the spleen and kidney forms the pathological basis for the prolonged and refractory nature of the disease.Accordingly,treatment should be administered according to the three stages:in the inflammatory stage,emphasis should be placed on"opening the sweat pores and dispersing stagnant heat";in the progressive stage,treatment should focus on"harmonizing nutrient and defense and resolving phlegm and blood stasis";and in the chronic stage,priority should be given to"strengthening the spleen and kidney and eliminating pathogenic factors".关键词
