Abstract
Currently,Chinese manufacturing enterprises still face challenges such as rising factor costs and insufficient innovation capabilities in the process of high-quality development.Artificial intelligence technology serves as a significant breakthrough for addressing these issues.To explore the impact and mechanism of artificial intelligence technology application on the high-quality development of manufacturing enterprises,this paper utilizes the data of Chinese A-share listed manufacturing companies from 2013 to 2023,integrates the quantitative evaluation results of new-quality productivity indicators,and conducts an empirical analysis using a two-way fixed effects model.The findings indicate that artificial intelligence technology significantly and robustly promotes the high-quality development of enterprises,with more prominent effects in competitive industries and enterprises in the eastern and central regions.Mechanism analysis reveals that artificial intelligence technology drives the high-quality development of enterprises through a two-dimensional path of technological innovation and human capital improvement.New-quality productivity mainly generates long-term dynamic empowerment by optimizing soft technology and active labor to promote artificial intelligence.This study provides empirical evidence for the intelligent transformation of manufacturing enterprises and emphasizes that artificial intelligence drives the high-quality development of enterprises through the synergistic effect of technological innovation and human capital improvement.关键词
