Abstract

For the problem that the existing low altitude route planning methods are difficult to be applied to high-density urban low-altitude operation scenarios due to the excessive number of random intersection points,an urban low-altitude public route planning method for unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)and electric vertical take-off and landing(eVTOL)aircrafts is proposed.Firstly,by constructing a three-dimensional radial-ring fusion route structure consisting of multiple circular layers and radial layers in the vertical hierarchy,the randomly distributed intersection conflict points are transformed into a significantly reduced number of intersections with fixed locations.Subsequently,by combining with the radial-circular flight rules,the vertical separation of aircrafts with different flight directions is realized,which effectively reduces the risk of conflicts and significantly improves the capacity of the airspace.Simulation results demonstrate that the number of conflict pairs of the proposed method is only 23.37%of that under the direct-flight scheme,which fully verifies its applicability in high-density urban low-altitude operation scenarios.
