A Localization Algorithm for Electromagnetic Radiation Sources within a Plane Based on a 2D Electromagnetic Map

Abstract
In order to solve the problem that the traditional passive positioning method has a large parameter measurement error in non-line-of-sight environments such as urban and mountainous areas,which affects the positioning accuracy,a communication emitter localization algorithm based on electromagnetic map is proposed.Firstly,the electromagnetic data is collected by deploying a distributed wireless sensor network in the target area,the electromagnetic map of the target area is constructed by using the electromagnetic data collected by the sensing node,and then the constructed electromagnetic map is used as a priori information to determine the key coverage area and potential location of the radiation source,and finally the location of the radiation source is obtained through improved maximum likelihood estimation and sequence quadratic programming.Simulation results demonstrate that with only 1%of sensor nodes,the average localization error for three radiation sources in a 4 km×4 km area is less than 60 m.关键词
