摘要

Abstract

To meet the requirement that new-generation coal-fired pilot demonstration units achieve a load ramping rate of 4%of the rated load per minute in response to automatic generation control(AGC)commands,a coordinated capacity optimization method for an external pulverized coal silo and a battery energy storage system(BESS)is proposed,aiming to realize complementary technical advantages and optimal life-cycle cost.First,a dynamic simulation model of the combined system including the thermal power unit,external pulverized coal silo and BESS is established.Second,the rime optimization algorithm with local search is used for optimal solution for three critical variables of pulverized coal silo,BESS storage power and energy capacity.Finally,Taking a 350 MW supercritical coal-fired unit with a 1 440 min AGC command sequence as the case study,capacity optimization and economic comparisons are carried out for three schemes such as thermal power with external pulverized coal silo,thermal power with BESS,and thermal power with external pulverized coal silo and BESS.The results show that the optimal coordinated configuration is 19.47 t for the external pulverized coal silo and 5.34 MW/27.25 MWh for the BESS,with a daily net profit of CNY 23,100,which is higher than the CNY 21,200 of the standalone external silo scheme and significantly better than the CNY-9,600 of the standalone BESS scheme.Compared with the standalone BESS scheme,the required BESS power and energy capacity of the coordinated configuration are reduced to 8.5%and 19.7%respectively.This demonstrates that the coordinated optimization configuration can effectively improve the overall economic performance of flexibility retrofitting projects with lower investment and operating costs.
