Independent Research and Development of Industrial Software,Knowledge Collaboration and Ambidextrous Innovation in Enterprises

Abstract
Using A-share listed manufacturing firms from 2012 to 2024 as the sample,the study empirically investigates how independent R&D of industrial software affects exploratory,exploitative,and ambidextrous innovation and explores the under-lying mechanisms using a multi-period DID approach.Research found that independent R&D of industrial software significantly pro-motes exploratory,exploitative,and ambidextrous innovation.Research on the mechanism of action showed that improving the level of knowledge collaboration and analyst attention were two paths for independent R&D of industrial software to promote exploratory,exploitative,and ambidextrous innovation.Heterogeneity analysis found that the promoting effect of independent R&D of industrial software on exploratory,exploitative,and ambidextrous innovation is more pronounced in firms with low environmental uncertainty,government innovation subsidies,and high technological capabilities.The research enriches the ambidextrous innovation theory un-der the background of digital technology from the perspective of production tool management behavior,and has a certain practical guiding value for China's manufacturing leaders to realize ambidextrous innovation through independent R&D of industrial software.关键词
