Optimization Design of Crescent-Rib Reinforced Steel Bifurcation Structure Based on Kriging Model and Genetic Algorithm

Abstract
[Objective]The crescent-rib reinforced steel bifurcation is the most commonly used type of bifurcated pipe in pumped storage power stations.This study aims to achieve an efficient optimization design that balances structural safety and economic efficiency.[Methods]Aiming at the structural nonlinearity and the complex implicit relationship between design parameters and response values in the design of bifurcated pipe structure,three-dimensional parametric modeling and Latin hypercube sampling were used for experimental design.The Kriging model was used to establish the nonlinear mapping rela-tionship between the key design parameters of the bifurcated pipe and the Mises stress value of the key points,including the thickness of the pipe wall,the thickness of the rib plate,and the width of the central section of the rib plate.The genetic al-gorithm was used to realize the optimal scheme of the shape parameters of the bifurcated pipe.[Results]The optimized vol-ume of the bifurcated pipe decreased from 20.901 m3 to 15.780 m3 compared to the original design,representing a decrease of 24.5%.The stress distribution across various parts of the bifurcated pipe was uniform,with all values remaining below the allowable resistance limits specified by the relevant standards.This allowed for the full utilization of the steel material's strength.Additionally,the wall thickness difference between adjacent conical pipe sections met the requirements for welding.[Conclusions]This method can effectively reduce steel consumption while ensuring structural safety,improve the efficiency and accuracy of the optimization design for crescent-rib reinforced steel bifurcation,and provide a reference for the optimiza-tion design of similar bifurcated pipes.关键词
