A Rapid Calibration Technique for Circumferential Drift in Hemispherical Resonator Gyroscopes

Abstract
Hemispherical resonant gyroscopes(HRGs),characterized by high precision,miniaturization,and light weight design,have been increasingly deployed in guid equipments,aerospace,and other fields.However,during long-term operation of HRGs,circumferential bias drift varies with resonator performance,thereby affecting operational accuracy.Therefore,HRGs require regular calibration.To improve accuracy retention,this paper proposes a fast calibration method for circumferential bias based on the HRG error model.The circumferential zero offset and virtual-rotation error are effectively separated via virtual rotation.Through simulations and experimental verification,the standard deviation of residuals after calibration is 0.112 4(°)/h,and the calibration time is merely 326 s.关键词
