摘要

Abstract

Factors affecting the smoothness appearance of silk fabrics during the drying process in washer-dryer combos are systematically investigated.The effects of fabric parameters,temperature,mechanical action and moisture content on fiber structural evolution and wrinkle formation mechanisms were analyzed.Results indicate that parameters,including weave structure,density and finishing conditions,play critical roles in post-drying appearance.Due to the high hygrothermal sensitivity of silk fibers,excessive drying temperatures could induce conformational contraction of silk fibroin molecular chains and rearrangement of crystalline regions,resulting in irreversible creasing.Furthermore,excessive mechanical action tended to alter stress distribution within fabrics and intensify deformation,whereas variations in moisture content significantly governed wrinkle recovery behavior.Fibers maintained favorable plasticity at intermediate moisture levels,facilitating stress relaxation and smoothness recovery through enhanced molecular mobility.Comprehensive analysis suggested that improved smoothness appearance could be achieved under the conditions of low-to-medium temperature,moderate drum rotation speed and controlled residual moisture content.The underlying mechanism is attributed to the reversible orientation of molecular chains and their relaxation under coupled thermo-hygro-mechanical effects.Finally,the limitations of current studies are summarized,and future research directions are proposed,focusing on molecular-scale mechanism investigation,multi-parameter coupled modeling,and moisture-content-based staged control strategies to support the optimization of drying performance and anti-wrinkle care for high-quality silk fabrics.
