Artificial intelligence-assisted histological assessment and prognosis prediction in ulcerative colitis
摘要
Abstract
Integrating artificial intelligence(AI)into ulcerative colitis(UC)by analyzing histological images en-ables precise and objective assessment of disease activity,thereby promoting the prediction of histological remission,major adverse outcomes,and treatment response.This article outlines the research progress of AI applications in UC histology,including:assisting in the assessment of histological activity;assisting in the diagnosis of colitis-associated dysplasia;assisting in the prediction of adverse outcomes and treatment response;and assisting in the automated as-sessment of barrier healing.Although the application of AI in UC histology currently faces limitations and challenges,it will transform UC management and contribute to personalized and precision medicine for patients.关键词
