A Method of Mitigating Multipath Error in Radio Interference with Ranging
摘要
Abstract
As a phase-based ranging technology based on frequency-hopping signals,radio interferometric ranging(RIR)offers advantages of low cost,high accuracy,and anti-interference.Though frequency diver-sity brought by frequency hopping enables RIR to have a certain anti-multipath capability,its performance is still limited in strong multipath environments such as indoors.For this reason,a method for actively cor-recting the multipath ranging error of RIR based on amplitude information is proposed.The ranging error can be ultimately mitigated by estimating the multipath parameters of channel from the unused amplitude information in the original RIR,and calculating and compensating for the multipath error of the phase measurement based on these parameters.The method is characterized by no additional hardware and low algorithmic complexity,and its multipath resolution can be improved by increasing the hopping bandwidth.The simulations and experimental results show that the method is valid.With a hopping bandwidth of 200 MHz and 25 frequency points,a confidence level range error of 95%decreases 81%and 75%respec-tively by applying the multipath error mitigation method in two indoor scenarios,achieving sub-0.5-meter.关键词
