High-yield Cultivation Technology of Flat Wide Ridge with Narrow and Concave Furrow for Luffa in Protected Agriculture

Abstract
To address the issues of root hypoxia,soil compaction and high incidence of diseases associated with traditional high-ridge cultivation patterns in protected luffa production in high groundwater table areas,this study innovatively designed a flat wide ridge with narrow and concave furrow cultivation pattern.Through the four-in-one design of'flat wide ridge for root zone expansion,narrow furrow for evaporation reduction,concave furrow for water and fertilizer concentration,and wide row for convenient operation',an efficient cultivation technical system suitable for high-humidity environments was established.This pattern achieved synergistic optimization of drainage-irrigation balance,aeration and moisture conservation,and stress resistance-temperature regulation,effectively breaking through the technical bottlenecks of luffa cultivation in high-humidity environments.The application effect was excellent in summer greenhouse luffa production in Qingxu county,Shanxi province,where luffa was planted in March,marketed in April and harvested in October.The root rot rate was reduced by 30%,the marketable fruit rate exceeded 90%,the yield exceeded 10 000 kg per 667 m2,representing a more than 15%increase compared with the traditional high-ridge cultivation pattern,and the profit increased by more than 20%.This pattern provides a feasible pathway for high-quality and high-efficiency production of protected luffa in high groundwater table areas.关键词
