Abstract
In order to solve the problems of poor mass transfer performance and severe flooding in the traditional parallel flow field of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell(PEMFC).The research group designed a tree-like fractal flow channel and proposed new fractal flow channel structures:Fractal Interdigitated Mixed Flow Field(FIMFF)and Fractal Pin-Type Mixed Flow Field(FPTMFF).Simulation studies were conducted on the oxygen distribution,liquid water distribution,current density distribution and net output power in the traditional parallel flow field and the tree-like fractal flow fields.The research results indicate that the comprehensive performance of the tree-like fractal flow field fuel cells are superior to that of the traditional parallel flow field fuel cell.The tree-like flow field with an interdigitated structure increases the net output power by 28.0%at a voltage of 0.60 V,compared to the parallel flow field.Furthermore,the tree-like flow fields also improve the oxygen mass fraction distribution,enhance the drainage efficiency of the fuel cells,and increase the current density.关键词
