Acupuncture Treatment for Dysfunction in the Flaccid Phase of Stroke Based on the Brain-Gut-Muscle Axis

Abstract
Based on existing research regarding the brain-gut axis and gut-muscle axis,this study innovatively proposes the concept of the brain-gut-muscle axis,integrating the central nervous system,gastrointestinal tract,and skeletal muscles into an interdependent functional network.Integrating the holistic concept of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)with modern anatomical and physiological mechanisms,this study analyzes the impact of the brain-gut-muscle axis on flaccid post-stroke stage(FPSS).In accordance with the pathogenesis characterized by"spleen deficiency with turbid viscera"and"marrow deficiency with muscle atrophy",the therapeutic principle of"spleen-regulating,viscera-dredging and intelligence-enhancing"is proposed.Acupuncture treatment employs Zusanli(ST36),Sanyinjiao(SP6),and Tianshu(ST25)to regulate the spleen and dredge viscera to promote motility while Baihui(GV20)and Fengfu(GV16)are employed to nourish marrow and enhance cognitive function.Combined with syndrome-differentiated acupoint selection and multi-modal synergistic therapies,this approach aims to achieve holistic rehabilitation.Taking the brain-gut-muscle axis theory as the entry point,this paper explores acupuncture-based therapeutic strategies for effectively ameliorating FPSS dysfunction,providing theoretical foundations and practical guidance for clinical rehabilitation.关键词
