Localization of Fall Risk Assessment Tools for Chinese Older Adults:Problem Diagnosis,Logical Framework,and Implementation Pathways

Abstract
With the acceleration of population ageing,falls have become an important public health issue affecting the health,functional independence and quality of life of older adults.Scientific fall risk assessment is an important prerequisite for early risk identification,stratified management and precise intervention.This article analyzed the local adaptation of fall risk assessment tools for older adults in China following the logic of"problem diagnosis-logical framework-implementation pathways."The study argued that commonly used assessment tools currently face adaptation dilemmas in the Chinese context in terms of body structure and functional foundations,activity patterns and life scenarios,and primary-level application and result translation.On theses basis,from the internal tool aspect,this article proposes an adaptation framework consisting of four dimensions:risk identification indicators,assessment task systems,scoring rules and stratification thresholds,and result interpretation and output structure.It emphasizes that systematic calibration is needed to enhance the local interpretability,risk classification accuracy and intervention translation value of assessment tools.From the external tool aspect,this article proposes the basic principle of"validation before application and continuous updating,"and identifies national strategic guidance,government coordination,evidence-based research support and implementation feedback from application as the main implementation pathways.These pathways aim to promote local validation,scenario-based adaptation,standardized application and continuous updating of fall risk assessment tools within China's fall prevention service system for older adults.In addition,this article suggests incorporating fall risk assessment into the national fitness public service system and treating it as an important component of the expanded application of national physical fitness monitoring,so as to further enable sports and other relevant sectors to play a role in risk identification,exercise intervention translation and the construction of an active prevention system.This article provides theoretical support and practical reference for building a China-contextualized system that connects precise fall risk identification,stratified management and intervention implementation among older adults.关键词
