摘要
Abstract
Objective:To explore the current status and associated factors of fear of progression(FoP)among parents of children with nephrotic syndrome. Methods:A total of 205 pairs of parents of children with nephrotic syndrome who were treated in two tertiary hospitals in Shantou from March 2024 to March 2025 were selected as the research subjects.A general information questionnaire, the Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Parent Form, the Perceived Social Support Scale, the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire, and the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire were used to collect information on parents'fear of disease progression, psychological quality, and social support. The total score of the Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Parent Form was used to reflect the level of parents'fear of disease progression, with a total score of≥34 indicating dysfunctional fear of progression.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to screen associated factors of parents'fear of disease progression. Results:The average total score of parents'fear of disease progression was 39.0±14.4,with 53.0%having a score of≥34.Multivariate analysis showed that living in rural areas(β=2.961,95%CI:0.826-5.096)was positively correlated with the level of fear of progression.Having a spouse with a postgraduate degree or above(β=-5.718,95%CI:-10.859--0.577)and a total annual household income of 40,000 to<100,000 RMB(β=-3.914,95%CI:-6.662--1.166)were negatively correlated with the level of fear of progression(all P<0.05).Perceived social support(β=-0.175),psychological resilience(β=-0.255),and positive coping style(β=-0.402)were negatively correlated with the level of fear of progression, while negative coping style(β=0.517)was positively correlated with the level of fear of progression(all P<0.001).Conclusion:The level of fear of progression among parents of children with nephrotic syndrome is moderately high.Living in rural areas, having a spouse with a lower educational level, low family income, insufficient social support, poor psychological resilience, and a tendency towards negative coping styles are associated with higher levels of fear of progression.Medical staff should pay attention to these key populations and improve their psychological adaptation status through targeted interventions, which can help reduce the level of fear of progression and improve the quality of family care.关键词
