Abstract
The Revolution of 1911 and the revolution led by the CPC in the 19th and 20th centuries,as the core political movements driving the profound transformation of modern China, both showed distinctive characteristics of"instigation and origin in Southern China".Modern China continued the trend of dominance in the south over the north in terms of economy, culture and talent distribu-tion since the Song and Ming Dynasties. The advantages of the south in terms of social economy,ed-ucation and culture became increasingly prominent, resulting in the differences in social psychology and political attitudes between the south and the north to a certain extent. The economic foundation, open environment, cultural dynamism and the tradition of pragmatism in the south jointly constitute the geographical conditions for the rise of the revolution. At the same time, the foundations of the two revolutions changed within the south, forming a trend of transfer from Guangdong to Hunan and Hubei, which also subtly affected the characteristics of the revolutions.Compared with the Kuomin-tang,the CPC had a chance to break through the geographical limitations and successfully landed in the north, completing the nationalization of the revolutionary region.关键词
