Abstract
As a major hazard source, the circular oil-sealed gas holder faces serious chal-lenges to its safe operation under extreme weather conditions such as typhoons and heavy rainfall.Once such a facility experiences tilting due to strong winds or seal failure caused by rainwater intru-sion,it can easily lead to poisoning, fire, and explosion accidents. To address this, focusing on the wind and rain characteristics in coastal environments, the buckling risk of the holder structure un-der strong wind loads and the instability mechanism of the piston system were analyzed, and im-provement schemes were proposed. For wind-resistant design, optimizing the holder stiffness through finite element analysis suggests that the side plate thickness under high-pressure conditions should not be less than 7 mm.For rain-resistant design, wind field simulation comparison schemes confirm that widening the wind shield spacing and increasing the inner cylinder height can reduce the rainwater intrusion rate by about 50%,and adding water-retaining angle steel can block water climbing on the side wall. The design can provide technical references for the adaptive design and safe operation of large gas holders in coastal and island areas.关键词
