Abstract
Cardioembolism secondary to atrial fibrillation represents a predominant etiology of acute ischemic stroke.This stroke subtype is typically characterized by severe neurological deficits,a large infarct core volume,and an elevated risk of early recurrence.Mechanical thrombectomy(MT)serves as the primary endovascular treatment modality,but early reocclusion following successful vascular recanalization poses a substantial clinical challenge.Currently,evidence regarding the safety and efficacy of repeated MT(rMT)remains limited.In this article,we reported a case of a patient with cardioembolic large hemispheric infarction who experienced ipsilateral large vessel reocclusion occurred within 48 h after initially successful MT,and underwent rMT.By reviewing relevant literature,this article explored the mechanisms underlying early reocclusion after MT for cardioembolic stroke,the feasibility of rMT,and antithrombotic treatment strategies.关键词
