Progress of Research on the Influence of Tropical Regions Climate and Environment on the Health of the Elderly Population

Abstract
In the context of the increasingly severe challenges posed by global climate change and population aging,the unique climate environment of high temperatures,high humidity,and intense sunshine in tropical regions presents a systemic threat to the health of the growing elderly population,which urgently requires attention at the policy level.This study provides a systematic review of the dual impacts of tropical regions climate and environment on the health of the elderly population.On one hand,it heightens the risk of infectious disease transmission and exacerbates chronic conditions such as hypertension,diabetes.On the other hand,the abundant sunshine and stable warm climate offer natural advantages for vitamin D synthesis,symptom relief in respiratory conditions,and encouragement of outdoor social activities.Establish a regional health monitoring and early warning system for the elderly that integrates chronic disease management,nutrition,and exercise guidance,while strengthening public health education to enhance the elderly's self-protective abilities.Identifying and utilizing health promotion factors in tropical regions climate and environment,along with formulating precise and effective health security measures for the elderly,can enhance the process of healthy aging in tropical regions.关键词
