Abstract
Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of nab-Paclitaxel-Carboplatin(nab-PC)regimen combined with Gujin Xiaoliu Decoction in the treatment of the elderly with lung squamous carcinoma.Method:A total of 62 elderly patients with lung squamous carcinoma who were admitted to Songyuan Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from January 2023 to June 2025 were selected.According to the random number table method,the patients were divided into the experimental group(n=31,nab-PC regimen combined with Gujin Xiaoliu Decoction)and the control group(n=31,nab-PC regimen).Both groups were treated for 6 cycles,with each cycle lasting 21 days.The clinical efficacy,quality of life,tumor markers,growth factors,chemokines and adverse reactions between the two groups were compared.Result:After treatment,the objective response rate of the experimental group(54.84%)was higher than that of the control group(29.03%)(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of each dimension of the functional assessment of cancer therapy-lung(FACT-L)in both groups were higher than those before treatment,and those of experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of tumor markers in both groups decreased compared to before treatment,the levels of carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCCA),and cytokeratin 19 fragment(CYFRA21-1)in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of growth factors and chemokines in both groups decreased compared to before treatment,the levels of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF),platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF),CC chemokine ligand 5(CCL5),and CC chemokine ligand 20(CCL20)in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the incidence rates of thrombocytopenia,neutropenia,leukopenia,anemia,nausea and vomiting,and disease control rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The nab-PC regimen combined with Gujin Xiaoliu Decoction can significantly increase the objective response rate of elderly patients with lung squamous carcinoma,improve quality of life,and does not increase the risk of adverse reactions.关键词
