Abstract
The Bronze Table With Tiger And Oxen Motif,as an important sculptural artifact among early Chinese bronzes, derives its aesthetic value not only from its historical and symbolic significance but also from its highly mature design logic and integrated aesthetic expression. From the perspective of design aesthetics, this study conducts a systematic analysis of the Bronze Table With Tiger And Oxen Motif stand's aesthetic characteristics across multiple dimensions, including form, function, experience, mechanics, and meaning. The research reveals that through an overall-priority modeling strategy and rigorous control of mass and volume, the object successfully accommodates complex narrative content within a stable structural framework. Its supporting function is highly unified with its formal generation, allowing utilitarian attributes to be naturally transformed into aesthetic qualities. Moreover, clearly articulated load paths and a stable center of gravity further translate mechanical order into a perceptible visual order. At the level of meaning, the Bronze Table With Tiger And Oxen Motif stand presents a contradictory structure in which a tiger biting a large ox is juxtaposed with a calf contained within the ox's abdomen, simultaneously expressing survival conflict and the continuation of life.In this way,"rebirth"emerges as a core value permeating the entire work. Thus, the Bronze Table With Tiger And Oxen Motif should not be understood merely as a single symbol or narrative vehicle, but rather as a sculptural work that achieves a high degree of integration across multiple design dimensions. Its design-aesthetic value provides an important reference for contemporary interpretations of the formal logic and meaning construction of early ritual objects.关键词
